The National ICT Summit 2021 is this year’s culminating event in the annual observance of the National ICT Month, in compliance with Presidential Proclamation No. 1521, s. 2008 DECLARING THE MONTH OF JUNE 2008 AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER AS “NATIONAL INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY (ICT) MONTH”. Seminars, conferences, forums, focused group discussions, technical trainings and other activities showcasing ICT in government processes that positively impact the Filipino public are held during the month. The month-long celebration provides venues to present and discuss emerging ICT technologies, products, services and new paradigms.</>

The NICT Summit 2021

The government’s ICT department leads the month-long celebrations, and enlists the active participation of ICT sectoral organizations and industry partners. For the past few years, a strong partnership was developed between the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the Chief Information Officers’ Forum (CIOF, Inc.) and the Chief Information Officers’ Forum Foundation (CIOFF, Inc) where the Department relied on them in organizing the annual National Information and Communications Technology Summit (NICT Summit) as fitting culmination for ICT Month. The theme for the virtual NICT Summit 2021 is “Accelerating Government Digital Transformation in Time of Crisis,” that seeks to highlight the Department’s good governance over the efforts of cooperating government and industry partners in the use of digitized business processes – in this time of COVID 19 pandemic – towards achieving the most convenient and timely provision of services to households and businesses that promote an enhanced government-citizen engagement.
