Members of the Project Management Team meet to begin preparations for the National ICT Summit scheduled for 25-26 June 2019 at the Novotel Hotel Araneta Center.
CIOF and CIOF Foundation are now in the thick of preparations for the National ICT Summit on June 25-26, 2019 at Novotel Araneta Center as the culminating event for the month-long celebration of June as the National ICT Month. This is based on Presidential Proclamation 1521, series of 2008, which mandates government’s ICT department to spearhead and coordinate the month-long observance.
The focus of this year’s summit is on the theme “Accelerating Government Digital Transformation” and comes on the heels of the March 28, 2019 CIOF 1st General Membership Meeting and Conference at Crowne Plaza which highlighted the theme “Public Finance Management for eGovernance.”
This event, which CIOF and CIOF Foundation traditionally coordinate in partnership with DICT, aims to highlight the need to speed up government’s digital transformation journey. It will explore solutions to hurdles at the various stages of the process: from laying the framework architecture for the whole of government, to digitizing data from analog formats, then mining the ocean of government data to improve delivery of public services at the national and local government levels.
Resource persons being lined up include international speakers and renowned government personalities and industry experts from the public and private sectors.
